Himachal Pradesh Tour Packages

History of Himachal Pradesh:-

From the pre historic time it was inhabited by tribes like the Koilis, Halis, Dagis, Dhaugris, Dasa, Khasas, Kinnars and Kirats. The Aryan influence in the region dates back to the period before the Rigveda.As per the Hindu epic Mahabharata, the tract which forms the present day Himachal Pradesh was made up of number of small republics, namely Janapadas each of which constituted both a provincial and cultural unit.Some evidences have been found that nearly 2 million years ago man lived in the foothills of Himachal Pradesh. Bangana valley of Kangra, Sirsa valley of Nalagarh and Markanda valley of Sirmour are found to be the places where prehistoric man used to live. The foothills of the state were inhabited by people from Indus valley civilization which flourished between the time period of 2250 and 1750 B.C.

Day 01 - Arrive Delhi

On arrival met at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 02 - Delhi – Shimla

Next morning we will start for Shimla and on arrival at Shimla you will be transferred To the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 03 – Shimla

After having breakfast we will start to visit the nainital city. We will start our journey from holyNaina Devi TempleHimachal State Museum & Library:- This museum is indisputably one of the prime tourist attractions in Shimla and remains open to the public except on Mondays and public holidays. This museum houses a fine collection of antique sculptures, paintings, coins, photos and other items not only from the state butalso outside it. You will also find a library here which houses several historical books and manuscripts.Viceregal Lodge & Botanical Gardens: Also famous as “Rashtrapati Niwas”, it is a spectacular building located on the Observatory Hills and was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy Lord’Dufferin.Its construction was accomplished in the year 1888 and every brick for the building was carried by mules according to the sources. The massive six-story building is surrounded by well manicured gardens and lawns.

The Ridge:- This place is an open space in the heart of town and offers outstanding views of the distant mountain ranges. The two prominent landmarks of Shimla, the Neo-Gothic structure of Christ Church and the new Tudor Library building are the other attractions located here.
 

Day 04 - Shimla – Kullu

Summer Hill:- It is a scenic spot located near Shimla at an altitude of 1,283 meters and is much visited bythe tourists. The legendary Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi during his sojourn in Shimla spent some time in the elegant Georgian House of Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur located here.

Tara Devi Temple:- Among the various places to visit in Shimla, this temple occupies a crucial place and is also of great importance for the pilgrims.It is located on top of a hill facing Shimla and commands panoramic vistas of Shimla. It is also an ideal picnic spot surrounded by thick forest of oak and rhododendr on. After this we will depart for Kullu. On arrival at Kullu, we will go to hotel and rest of day for your leisure. Overnight at hotel.
 

Day 05 - Kullu

Next morning after breakfast we will go to explore tourist places in Kullu. And in evening we will go for Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.
 
Day 06 - Manali

In morning we will start with:

Hadimba Temple:-This is one of the most important temples of Manali and is called the Dhungri Van Vihar. Located in the middle of the forest, this four storey wooden temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba. The wooden doorway of the temple is particularly fascinating and the architecture of the temple is also par excellence.

Vashist Springs: - If you take a brisk half an hour's walk from town you will come across hot springs, emerging out of the rocks at Vashist. It is commonly believed that these waters have medicinal value and can cure different kinds of ailments.

Tibetan Monasteries:-
There are plenty of Tibetan refugees at Himachal Pradesh and a large number of them can be found at Kullu.So the existence of Tibetan Monasteries comes as a no surprise. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa monastery was constructed in the year 1969. A mid size Buddhist statue and colorful frescoes are the main highlights of this monastery. Another notable monastery is the Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa, which is modern in appearance,although slightly smaller than the Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa monastery. A huge statue of Buddha with a golden face is placed here.

Jagatsukh:- Situated at a distance of 6 km from Manali, it is one of the biggest villages in Kullu district. It is famous for the Shiva temple, which has been built in a “shikhara” style. The Devi Sharvati temple is also nearby. Overnight at hotel.


Day 07 - Manali - Rohtang Pass

The Rohtang Pass is the only entrance to Lahaul Spiti and is 51 km from Manali. Situated at an altitude of 4111 m on the highway, this is one of the major Manali tourist attractions, for those who love to indulge in trekking. Beas Kund and Dasohar Lake are also near from here. Beas kund is the place where the Beas River originates. The water here is so crystal clear and icy cold that it can make your fingers numb.


Day 08 - Manali - Delhi

Next morning again we will go back to Delhi and on arrival at Delhi you will be transferred to hotel from where u will get your flight for your home destination.
