Uttaranchal finds mention in the ancient Hindu scriptures as Kedarkhand, Manakhand and Himavat. The Kushanas, Kudinas, Kanishka, Samudra, Gupta, the Pauravas, Katuris, Palas, the Chandras and Pawaras and the British have ruled in turns. It is often called the Land of the Gods (Dev Bhoomi) because of its various holy places and shrines. The hilly regions of Uttaranchal offer unspoilt landscapes to the tourist -pilgrim.The present state of Uttaranchal was earlier as part of the United Province of Agra and Awadh which came into existence in 1902. In 1935, the name of the state was shortened to the United Province. In January 1950, the United Province was renamed as Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal remained a part of Uttar Pradesh before it came into being on 9 November 2000, the 27th state of India.
Day 01 -Arrive Delhi
On arrival meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 02 - Delhi – Nainital
After having breakfast we will start drive to Nainital, On arrival we will go to hotel and rest of the day free for Personal activities, Overnight stay and dinner in hotel.
Day 03 – Nainital
After having breakfast we will start to visit the nainital city. We will start our journey from holy Naina Devi Temple
NainaDeviTemple :- "Jai Mata Di" Naina Devi Temple is one of the fifty-one Shakti Peeths in India. Situated 60 km from Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh, Naina Devi Temple is one of the highly venerated Shakti Temples in India. According to Hindu mythology, sati, consort of Lord Shiva, killed herself by jumping in the sacrificial fire when her father Daksha Prajapati insulted her husband. This enraged Shiva who started roaming the entire universe with the body of Sati in his arms. Lord Vishnu dismembered the dead body of Sati to calm down the anger of Shiva. Various body parts of Sati fell at fifty-one different places in India that later became sacred as Shakti
Peeths.St.John’sChurch :- This church occupies an important place among the tourist attractions in Nainital and was established in the 1844. It is one of the oldest buildings of Nainital and is visited by tourists frequenting Nainital during their vacations.
Snow View :- It is a magnificent point and is located at a height of 2,270 meters atop the Sher-ka-danda Ridge and is conveniently reachable by cable car.It commands fantastic views of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks,including Nanda Devi, Trisul, and Nanda Kot on a clear day. It is must watch among the tourist attractions in Nainital and an ideal spot for the nature lovers.
Tiffin Top :- Located on Ayarpatta hill, this tourist site also demands a visit by the tourists and is among the major things to watch in Nainital. This point is also popularly known as Dorothy’s Seat. This scenic spot commands lovely views of the nearby countryside.
Day 04 - Nainital – Mussoorie
Next morning we will start for Mussoorie, On arrival we will go to hotel and rest of the day free for Personal activities, Overnight stay and dinner in hotel.
Day 05 - Mussoorie
Jharipani falls:- Located about 8 kms away from the main town, it is one of the many beautiful water falls in Mussoorie. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 -Mussoorie
Bhatta falls:- One of the major tourist attractions of Mussoorie is Bhatta falls. It is located 7 kms awayfrom the hill resort.
Children’s lodge:- It is sited on the highest peak of Mussoorie, about 5 kilometers away from the tourist office. It provides a mesmerizing view of the snow clad ranges.
Jwalaji temple:- An old temple of Goddess Durga, it is placed at an altitude of 2104 meters, on the Benong temple. The temple provides a panoramic view of the Yamuna valley.
Cloud End:- Surrounded by thick deodar forest, the bungalow is one of the oldest buildings in Mussoorie.Built in 1838 the bungalow has been converted into a hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 -Mussoorie – Delhi
Next morning again we will go back to Delhi and on arrival at Delhi you will be transferred to hotel from where u will get your flight for your home destination.
